Rare original 1971 UK Transatlantic label 14-track mono LP featuring powerful R&B cuts recorded between 1965 - 1967 by acknowledged Fulham, London, born rock & roll gone blues and R&B singer/songwriter.

The tracks are backed by John McLaughlin and Jack Bruce before they gained fame, as well as future Pentangle members Danny Thompson and Terry Cox and the material is equally divided between self penned material and R&B and blues cover versions.

'Innovations' has been labelled "one of the best British blues recordings, cutting straight down the middle between gutbucket blues and soulful R&B..." and a not to be missed album by fans of '60s British R&B by Allmusic's Richie Unterberger - who are describing the material described as "...spare, powerful, and as consistent as any '60s British blues album."

Vinyl has the generic white company labels with purple midlabel boxed and integrated 't-globe' logo and rimprint - otherwise black center print.

Vinyl is held in a Robert Stace & Co. fabricated picture cover laminated on front and over the spine.

Condition:
This copy has been part of the Danish National Radio collection - and has as such been used as a DJ tool which one should be able to find from a number system.

Vinyl is sublimely bright and shiny - has a couple of very light and inaudible marks on each side, but otherwise just a touch of sleeve wear.

Side 2 has a single - maybe two - barely noticeable spindletraces - simple and light. Side 1 label is mint. Radio station copies normally have traces from sticker glue residue from numbering stickers. This one is clean from any glue leftovers.

Labels are graded near mint - vinyl overall close to near mint/excellent.

This looks like a copy tried on briefly and then stored without further play - a playgrading would support this. Vinyl plays like it should: No noise what so ever and intact fidelity.

Front cover is neat - has a few light and small wrinkles from edges, a couple of larger ones transecnding from lower seam and along part of lower vinyl outline - a couple of marginal ones along opening.
Front has a very thin stripe og discontinued laminate lift along spine.

Back has sticker glue residue along mid-ipper opening and in the lower spine corner area - genre description is handwritten in blue ballpoint at each track - 'This Record Is Mono' text underline in red ballpoint.

Back is otherwise superb and has almost no signs of age or handling.

Seams are straight and intact - spine with only hints of pressure and 100% readable. Opnening has no mrubbing and corners are very close to mint with just a touch of rubbing.

Writing and sticker glue residue are far from nice, but this is otherwise a highly reapsectable copy - cover is graded at least VG.
