Rare original 1962 Stax label 12-track mono LP - Booker T & The M.G.'s phenomenal instrumental, proto funky debut album, soundwise the ancestors of The Meters - and the first proper album to be released on Jim Stewart and his sister Estelle Axtons legendary Memphis, Tennessee, based soul label.

Vinyl has the generic pale blue company labels with black printing and upper ''stack of albums' logo and large fonted company name - hosed in a sturdy back pasted, front glossy picture cover.

Condition: VG+(+) (Vinyl and Labels/VG+(+) (Cover):
Vinyl still retains its original lustre and has a couple of light and superficial marks combined with a lighter degree of sleeve wear - labels has what looks like from a handful to a couple of light and superficial spindletraces - no wear to centre hole itself - overall graded close to near perfect/excellent. Vinyl plays great - superb twangy fidelity, great dynamics... no cracling - just a stic here and there.

Cover has a little light wear and very superficial creasing to laminate itself - barely any edge wrinkling and otherwise a perfect front with nice fresh and deep coplours.
Back is very nice - just a little age discolouration along opening and a touch of wrinkling from spine - perfect straight seams, marginal lower spine and upper upening corner dents - otherwise nice and pointy corners - cover is graded close to near perfect/excellent - a simply very nice copy.
