Very rare authentic mid - to late 1970ies gold record award manufactured for sales of 'Svenne & lotta 2' in excess of 25.000 LP/MC?s in Denmark.

The award was supposed to be given to the artists themselves, but has remained in storage until it was bought directly from EMI Music Denmark, summer 2005, as a part of a larger lot of awards, memorabilia and artwork.

The award is manufactured by H. Gurskov & Søn ? Glarmestre, Vigerslev Allé 13, Copenhagen. It displays a silvery 12? disc with a generic ?Polar? company label with the print ?Tildelt Svenne & Lotta For Salg Af 25.000 LP/MC ?Svenne & Lotta 2? - EMI ? Danmark?.
The disc itself is mounted on a dark blue background. The award is has a deep silver painted wooden frame and measures 42 x 42 cm.

The award was within all probability manufactured between 1976 - 1977.

Silver disc and label are in perfect condition - frame has a little scuffing from storage with other awards.
