Artist | | Dando Shaft | Title | | Dando Shaft - Original 1971 UK RCA Neon label 11-track LP | Price | |
€ 125 | Genre | | ROCK | Format | | LP | Record label | | RCA Neon | Catalogue no | | NE5 | Country | | UK | Year of release | | 1971 | Grading | | VG+ (Vinyl and labels)/VG+ (Cover) | Stock list | | Dando Shaft | Additional info | | rare original 1971 UK RCA Neon vinyl LP - the second progressive folk rock gem from Coventry gone London based complex, near acoustic, Pentangle influenced progressive folk band.
Vinyl has the laquered labels with generic company logo on Side 1 and the vertical outline RCA logo and solid horizontal Neon logo on the Side 2 tracklisting label.
Vinyl has machine stamped matrix information and handetched mother/stamper information: Side 1: AGBS 0517-1E, mother/stampers A1H Side 2: AGBS 0518-1E, mother/stampers A1A suggesting that this copy was pressed at RCA Records Pressing Plant, Washington, UK, manufactured from the first set of master matrices, the first fathers and mothers and a very early stamper for Side 1, the 1st stamper for Side 2.
Vinyl is housed in a the original jet-black polylined inner sleeve - ultimately in a textured gatefold picture cover.
Condition: VG+ (Vinyl and labels)/VG+ (Cover): Vinyl is bright and shiny - has a couple of light and far from audible surface lines paired with a light degree of sleeve inflicted wear.
Labels have a very light degree of spindletraces - almost flawless. Vinyl is overall a very nice VG+.
Picture cover has light wear along top and bottom front edges - along back vinyl outline... inner spread is mint. Cover has a little seam-wear towards top corner, more continously so along bottom seam - spine is without wear but sun-bleached - opening edges has hardly any signs of handling. Bottom corners are slightly rubbed - lower opening corner has a light dent - top corners have a very light degree of rubbing - cover is a very nice VG+... especially when you consider the fragile nature of the cover. This is overall simply a very nice copy - way above average, but not perfect.
