|Title||In The Land Of Grey And Pink - 1971 UK 5-track 2nd Pressing Vinyl LP|
|Catalogue no||SDL R1|
|Year of release||1971|
|Grading||VG+(+) (vinyl and labels)/VG++ (cover)|
|Additional info||rare 1971 UK Decca label 5-track 2nd pressing vinyl LP - the 3rd album by British progressive rock band - labelled "the quintessential Canterbury album" by Mojo's Jim Irwin* and "one of the most beloved, and eccentric prog albums of them all" by AllMusic reviewer Dave Thompson.|
Vinyl has the generic white and upper red half company labels - machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: ZAL-10424P-1D, mother/stamper 1 UM
Side 2: ZAL-10425P-1D, mother/stamper 1 UC
suggesting this album to be mastered at Decca Studios, West Hampstead, London by Jack Law - and subsequently pressed from the first mastering, the first set of mothers and relatively early stampers.
Vinyl is housed in a generic polylined company stereo inner sleeve and ultimately in an outer 'Clarifoil' laminated Robert Stace picture gatefold cover.
Condition: VG++ (vinyl and labels)/VG++ (cover):
Vinyl is bright and shiny - has a little fine, thin and very light sleeve inflicted wear - a little too much for a near mint grading.
Side one label has no manifest spindlelines - just a touch of more wear a few mm's from centervhole - Side 2 labels has a handfull of simple and light traces. Labels are graded near mint and vinyl is overall conservatively graded close to near mint.
Cover is very nice - a very few wrinkles from edges but hardly any wear to edges, seams or corbers... simply very nice - graded near mint.
