|Additional info||Rare original 1969 UK Marmalade label 8-track LP - Britsh psychedelic rock quartet superb 2nd and final album - quite a contrast to their debut album recorded 2 earlier - veering towards a fusion of acid rock and progressive rock.|
Allmusics Ritchie Underberg wrote in his review "..., the record bears the influence of heavy California psychedelia and Captain Beefheart with its intricate, interwoven guitar lines and occasional gruff dissonance." and elaborates " Far less uplifting than their debut, the weighty approach is leavened by the close harmonies and sparkling guitar interplay."
Vinyl has the generic company labels with large upper purple, orange and white company name-logo, purple rimprint and black centre print. Labels has a light label groove 1,5 cm from centre hole.
Machine stamped matrix info is:
Side 1: 608010 A //3 1 1 3
Side 2: 608010 B //2 1 1 2
Vinyl is housed in fully laminated single pocket picture cover.
Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and labels)/VG++ (Cover):
Vinyl still retains its original luster - has hints of sleeve scuffing, but nothing even remotely resembling needle induced damage and vinyl is in itself graded near mint.
Side 1 label is mint - Side 2 label has a single or two hardly noticeable, simple and superficial spindletraces - obviously not an album played frequently and cared for when so. Vinyl is overall graded near mint.
Cover is in very nice condition - a little light wrinkling lower right vinyl outline, a single one along front opening and a couple of very light and small ones from spine.
Cover has a thin stripe of laminate lift along front spine - discontinued so on along back spine - over all a simply superb cover which only has a few minor imperfections to show from almost 50 years of age. Cover is graded close to near mint - a stunning copy.
