Ornette Coleman - Love Call - Original 1959 US 9-track 2nd Issue Stereo LP
Love Call - Original 1959 US 9-track 2nd Issue Stereo LP
Blue Note Records
Year of release
M- (Vinyls and Labels)/VG++ (Cover)
Original 1968 US Blue Note label 4-track 2nd issue LP - essentially the 2nd part of the 'New York Is Now' sessions featuring key free jazz movement saxophonist accompanied by John Coltrane's former rhythm section, drummer Elvin Jones and bassist Jimmy Garrison as well as tenor sax player Dewey Redman.
Vinyl has the generic Liberty label rendering of the Blue Note label: black with left side blue area and stylized boxed dark on light blue company logo placed right in the crossing between the to label areas. This label was briefly used - just after the blue and white 'A Division Of Liberty...' label.
Trail off area has the stamped 'VAN GELDER' signature - picture cover
Condition: M- (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Cover)
Vinyl is superb - bright, shiny and without any signs of play or handling, Labels are mint.
Cover has a touch of faint rubbing along vinyl outline - extremely slight lower corner dents - otherwise mint - overall graded straight near mint - an extremely nice copy.
