|Additional info||Rare original 1971 US Bearsville label 1st issue 11-track LP - the debut album by the sophisticated and quirky, tongue-in-cheek art popsters - recorded before relocating to London - with their early line up including the Mankey brothers - James, the guitarist of Concrete Blonde, and later Los Angeles based recoding engineer/record producer, Earle.|
The band changed their name to Sparks the year after and the poorly selling album was reissued under the new moniker with altogether different artwork.
Vinyl has the generic light brown company labels with top circular integrated 'bear' logo and company name and mid-label circles-bar featuring technical data -otherwise black printing.
Vinyl is held in a era specific Warner Bros distribution sleeve with lower right corner 9/71 print - ultimately in a sturdy, matt finish picture cover.
Condition: M- (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Cover)
Vinyl is bright and shiny - has no evidence of play what so ever - not even the slightest sleeve inflicted wear - perfect. Labels are without spindletraces - mint.
Cover is extremely nice - only very light signs of handling or storage - a couple of very marginal age spots in the front title area - otherwise perfect front and back centers. Cover has a very minor lower opening corner wrinkle from a mild bend, a next to no corners rubbing - overall plain close to mint.
This is an album which is hard to find in any condition - very hard this nice.
