|Additional info||Original 1987 German pressed WEA label 11-track LP - British wave-post punk bands 5th album - the last with lead singer and lyricist McCulloch... before the resurrection as Electrafiction in 1994 and as Echo & The Bunnymen in 1997 - also the last album featuring drummer de Freitas, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in mid-1989. |
'Echo & The Bunnymen' was produced by Laurie Latham who had previously worked with the band on their 1985 single "Bring on the Dancing Horses" - featuring the singles "The Game", "Lips Like Sugar" and "Bedbugs and Ballyhoo" - the latter featuring Ray Manzarek on keys. "Soul Kitchen" features New Orders Stephen Morris - likewise on keyboards.
Vinyl has white labels with centered band-silhouette motif - black text.
Vinyl is housed in a not so flexible illustrated credits and lyrics inner sleeve - ultimately in a glossy picture cover.
Condition: VG+(+) (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Inner Sleeve)/VG++ (Cover):
Vinyl is bright and shiny - has a touch of sleeve wear to Side 1 - hardly any signs of play or handling to Side 2. Vinyl is in itself at least close to near mint/excellent.
Labels are very nice - a single light, short and simple spindletrace in the immediate vicinity of center hole and otherwise mint. Vinyl is overall graded close to near mint/excellent.
Inner sleeve has only very light signs of handling and is easily graded near mint.
Cover has only a few very marginal signs of handling or storage - a touch of superlight wrinkling from edges... very faint edge and corners rubbing - next to nothing - overall at least close to near mint/excellent - a simply very nice copy overall.
