|Additional info||Rare original UK 1971 Island Records 1st Issue 8-track vinyl LP on the generic 'pink rim palm tree' company labels - vinyl has machine stamped matrix information:|
Side 1: ILPS 9175 A-1U, mother/stamper 1G
Side B: ILPS 9141 B-1U, mother/stamper 1 MG
stressing that this copy is manufactured from the first master matrice, the first set of mothers - an incredible early Side 1 stamper and an relatively early Side 2 stamper - the first pressing.
Vinyl is presented in the rare fold out picture/lyric insert/inner sleeve with lyrics printed on first panel in inner spread and internal opening for vinyl - everything housed in a single pocket one-piece picture cover without any printed data what so ever and with upper and lower extension flaps glued on outer back.
Condition: VG++ (vinyl & labels)/VG+(+) (Insert)/VG+(+) (Cover):
Vinyl is in close to perfect condition with a single shrt and inaudible light mark on Side 1 - otherwise only faint sleeve wear - extremely light .
Labels: Perfect, M-:
Labels are perfect condition without any signs of play - NO spindlemarks or other indicators of wear and handling.
Inner sleeve/Insert: very good plus, VG+:
Front, inner panels and back varies between perfect and near perfect - between exceptionally clean and light spotting from either age or a dried up stain.
Sleeve has a souple of splits: 1,2" against upper fold, an upper seam tiny one an a 2" back split. Otherwise barely any wear - NO writing, bends, tears etc.
Cover: Close to near perfect, VG+(+):
Front cover is extremely close to perfect - back cover plain close to perfect with barely any wear except for a little wear against flipback edges and few, light creases.
Cover has light shelf- and edgewear and light wear to corners - which is more pronounced against lower corners - all in all a more than VG+ but not quite a near perfect cover - hence the close to near perfect grading.
- a little lower and upper seam wear - 1 - 2 cm mid upper seam split, light dents to spine corners - solid upper VG+ - a very nice copy.
